Dr. Juan Pablo Ignacio Ramírez Paredes

FULL-TIME PROFESSOR

Dr. Juan Pablo I. Ramírez Paredes is an Associate Professor at the University of Guanajuato, assigned to the Department of Electronic Engineering. He obtained the PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2016. He is currently the director of the Vision, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. His research interests include mobile robotics and multi-robot, distributed and autonomous systems, as well as applications of artificial intelligence to engineering problems.

Dra. Ileana Del Rocio Zamora García

ASSOCIATED PROFESSOR

A chemical engineer by profession, she graduated from the Direct Doctorate program in Chemistry at the University of Guanajuato in 2014. Her doctoral project was in the area of Electrochemistry. During her doctorate she carried out a research stay at Nagaoka University of Technology. She is currently a professor in the Engineering Division of the University of Guanajuato, developing research for the aquaculture sector on topics such as: electrochemical treatment techniques for wastewater, digital image colorimetry for water analysis, development and implementation of control systems through mobile applications. In addition, she collaborates on projects related to the study of the processes involved in the application of Plasma Electro Oxidation (PEO) in magnesium alloy coatings and in the characterization of flexible actuators obtained by stereolithography (SLA) or 3D printing. Both projects for biomedical applications.

Dr. Uriel Haile Hernández Belmonte

FULL-TIME PROFESSOR

Full-time professor and researcher in the art and business department. He obtained his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Guanajuato. The topic of his dissertation was the study of human-machine interaction and collaboration between teams of robots. He has various publications in international journals with impact factor, as well as international conferences, in the area of robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence. He is part of the basic academic core of the degree in digital arts. During his stay in the program he has collaborated and directed various projects where technology is the means for the creation of new artistic experiences. Among these projects are Aerial Trace, Drone Drawing Explorations, the technical direction of the Chupícuaro Immersive Room, the inhabitants of the blue sky. He is currently working on the development of virtual reality experiences based on works of art, data visualization focused on suicide, computer vision applications for the food area, and experiments using artificial intelligence.

Dra. Rocio Alfonsina Lizárraga Morales

FULL-TIME PROFESSOR

Rocío A. Lizárraga Morales is an Electronic Engineer from the Technological Institute of Mazatlán, a degree she obtained in 2005. She obtained a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Guanajuato in 2009 and 2014, respectively. . Currently, she is a Full-Time Research Professor of the Engineering Division of the University of Guanajuato. She has published around 30 scientific articles in international conferences and high-impact reviews. Her main research interests include color and texture analysis, pattern recognition, computer vision and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Fernando Enrique Correa Tomé

FULL-TIME PROFESSOR

He graduated from the University of Guanajuato (2015). His main research interests include: digital signal and image processing, computer vision systems, machine learning algorithms, data mining, and artificial intelligence.
