In the Vision, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Guanajuato, we conduct research on mobile robots, pattern recognition in images, robotic perception, computational intelligence, among other topics.
Location and Academic Integration
LaViRIA is located on the premises of the Salamanca Campus, in the Palo Blanco Community. Due to the thematic focus of the work carried out, the Laboratory is associated with the following academic programs:
- Bachelor’s in Communications and Electronics Engineering
- Bachelor’s in Computer Systems Engineering
- Bachelor’s in Mechatronics Engineering
- Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation and Digital Systems option)
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor’s in Digital Art (multimedia, augmented reality, and virtual reality applications)
About the Laboratory
- LaViRIA is an environment for research and knowledge generation, dedicated to studying and applying technologies for creating intelligent systems that help solve real-world problems.
- Human resources training is carried out in LaViRIA, involving students from the academic programs of the University of Guanajuato. These individuals contribute to improving our society through their knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes.
- LaViRIA has computer equipment, digital cameras, and robots used for research in the laboratory’s main areas of interest: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Mobile Robotics.
